    Visa on a different passport (different nationality)

    Hi,
    I'm on a H1B visa and pursuing EB GC right now. I am a Brazilian national but I have the option to request Italian citizenship through my mother. My question is, if my GC is denied and my H1B is about to expire, can I apply for a different visa on the Italian passport? Would I have to stay 1 year away from the US anyways?
