Can my company apply for I-485 while the dates are not current

Hi
I am here on L1 A and my I 140 is approved, but my priority date is not current. Can my company still go ahead and apply for I-485

I think they will deny/return the application. You should send I485 when your PD is current according to the charts in https://www.uscis.gov/visabulletininfo

Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021
