  • Please help!!! :(

My appointment was scheduled for july 10th. When we received that notice my husband got told he was deploying within 20 days. Its going to be a 4-5 deployment. We called USCIS to try to get an earlier appointment and they send us a notice saying that our appointment had been rescheduled to the dates we requested. I called today since we haven’t received another interview and my husband is leaving soon. They told us we are getting an interview after he comes home!!! The problem is im moving back home to NYC to give birth and wont be moving back since my husband gets out of the army a month after coming home. Im so scared we won’t get an appointment for a long time since NYC waiting time is very long. I don’t know if I should show up next week to that appointment and hope they see us!!!

If they already rescheduled then I don't think they will see you next week. Did you talk with L2 officer? Did they give you a new date?
Remember to update your address if you move. Are you near your 2 year wedding anniversary? If they approve the GC after that you will get an unrestricted 10 year GC. Good luck.
Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021

I'm sorry this happened to you. Only information said that they will try to find an early date if the spouse is in the military and if not you can go to your interview without your spouse. They don't say that if they can't find an early date they will reschedule until the spouse come back from deployment.
