  • Positive quantiferon test

I had medical done last April 2019. I tested positive in the Quantiferon blood test but negative in the chest x-ray. The doctor signed my i-693, sealed it and gave it to me. He did NOT mention anything about reporting to the local health department. And i assumed the results suggested Latent TB, he said it is not an issue. The copy of the i-693 he gave did not indicate any referral to a local health department. All my AOS documents were filed last May. Will this be an issue with the AOS?

Your chest is clear, you're fine. This is a common issue.

I checked the copy of the I-693 that the civil surgeon gave me. He checked "No Class A or Class B Condition"

I am worried that this may cause me some problems, as I tested POSITIVE in the IGRA and NEGATIVE on the x-ray, indicating LTBI

There are several places where the civil surgeon could check "No Class A or Class B Condition", my guess is that you are talking about Part 5. 1. my guess (I'm no expert) is that Part 7. should be filed correctly like Part 7. 1. A. (2) Result - Positive (chest X-ray required), then in Part 7. 1. A. (3) one of the 4 boxes, maybe the second. Finally Part 7. 1. A. (4) date X-ray taken, date X-ray Read, Result: Normal and the box that say No Class A or Class B TB

If you don't have anything else (hypertension, high colesterol, diabetes, etc.) and other tests were also in the "No Class A or Class B Condition", then the doctor marked the correct box in Part 5. 1.
