my step dad did a family I-130 petition it got approved. the petition because is family is for me , my son, and my husband ( we did the one married son or daughters) now we can do the asjustment of status but is soo confusing... why we need to do 3 if the petition if for all of us?

Also in the gov.org website under the adjustment of status it say that if you are under the line for the poverty requirements which is $ 65,000 for a family of 8 (only 1 pacheck) we can have the waver and not pay the fee for the adjustment of status but in the waver page application they say that only who came with asylum is available for the waver.... it doesn't make sense.

immigration is soo confusing as always, after 10 years of waiting is good to know we can do the adjustment of status but with no one help is not easy

Each person must apply for Adjustment of Status (I-485) separately. Note that Adjustment of Status is only if you are in the US and in status at the time a visa number becomes available; otherwise you would do Consular Processing for an immigrant visa abroad instead (and each person needs to get an immigrant visa).

You are not eligible for a fee waiver for Adjustment of Status. Also note that the petitioner (your step-dad) will need to file an Affidavit of Support showing sufficient income for the household size, or a joint sponsor needs to be found with sufficient income for the household size.
