Sent I-485 on March 10, 2010 : Still waiting for Receipt Notice

I want to Thank you all for making things seem easy.

Please Help me here. I am compeltely stressed and confused and tired of waiting.

I also sent my AOS (I-485, I-765, I-131) to Texas on March 10th, 2010 but not received Receipt Notice so far .

After reading your Posts/Messages I also plan to call -

From your experience after you called the USCIS -

1. What is the best Day and the right Time to call USCIS to get through to the right person ?
   
2. Also what documents should I have readily available with me when I call ?
   
3. What Questions did you ask to get your Receipt Notice immediately?

you should call the customer service right away because it's more than 30 days now, you can provide them with your Alien number or SSN if you have any.you can call them any time of the day as long as its in the office hours. You have to tell them the date when you send the application.by the way, did you track your mail if it was already received?

yeah you need to call them immediately they should hve already scheduled your biometrics and you should hve taken it by now that if this is family based AOS....

I filed under NIW Category

1. I filed under NIW Category.
2. I received a Fedex Delivery Confirmation in an email for the AOS package received by USCIS in TSC.
3. But my Check for $1010.00 hasn't been cashed so far.
4. I am usually at work from 8am to 6pm . I will have to take the day off to call them or go late to work one of these days.

my EAD and AP were both denied as my 485 was already approved. Im waiting for my card now.I got approved 3 days after the finger printing. good luck !

hey so where did you find the information about denial and approval and how did you find out about ur fingerprints results and did you hve to attend the interview or they approved it automatically

I dont have an interview as my petition is employment based. I received a decision letter which includes a Welcome Notice on the top and the reasons for denial of EAD and AP at the bottom of the letter.I also received the approval notice for my 485 few days after. I called the FBI customer service the day after my finger prints were taken to confirm that they're been sent to USCIS which they did the same day.did you register for case updates?

where do i register for case updates and do i go to the FBI website to get the customer service#

FBI customer service number is here in Immihelp in i-485 section under Fingerprints: 304-625-5590.prepare your Alien number as they need it.to register for case updates,go to uscis.gov under SIGN UP FOR CASE UPDATE on the left side of web page.follow instructions and you will be ask to provide your email and phone number for updates.you will then received an email and text message every time the Case officer touches your file.you can also check your status using your receipt notice number.I just received my new designed green card today.hope you get yours' soon.
