  • Table of content advise!! (Saw a lot of examples, now lost)

    Hi everyone!!

I'm currently preparing our binder for our interview next Tuesday 7/16 in Los Angeles, CA.

I have seen a LOT of examples, but now I have new questions:

    1. Would it be ok to show my California ID card? I got at the DMV when my ssn card arrived.
    2. Can I put under "Commigled Finances" evidence of authorized bank user, or a bank statement with my husband listed as POD?
    3. Under received mail I listed the USCIS notices received in our mail
    4. The joint California Tax Return should be under relationship evidence or financial commingly??
    5. Also insurance info I'm hesitating between relationship evidence or commingled finances...

These are the ones I can think of right now, if you need more info please ask, this is my first time posting.

    Thanks!!

Your table of contents should be personalized according to your evidences. It doesn’t matter where you put them. What’s important is know where they are so when you’re presenting them to the officer it is easy for you to retrieve them.
I just had my interview, the officer took the documents not the table of contents layout itself.
So, don’t fret too much about this.

Just bring proof what they ask for in your interview invitation. Don't overthink it.

We had our interview and got approved on the spot a month ago and the IO didnt even ask about evidence. Our whole convo went so smooth and after she looked at pictures she approved us right away. Don't stress, bring evidence that you have, doesn't matter where you put it. If your marriage is real you're going to be fine

Agreed, don't over think it. Doesn't matter which category you put the documents in as long as its organized in a way that you will be able to find it.
When you go to the interview with a whole binder full of evidence, it's so obvious to the officers that the marriage is real, and they probably won't ask for too much more.

The officer just asked us how we met, went over some basic info, and the YES/NO questions on the form. and asked me if there's any more documents that I wanted to give her,
so I handed her our 2018 joint tax returns, new W-2s, paystubs, some closing documents we both signed at closing of our house, showed her the deed of our house (she didn't take it), showed her some more photos, and that was about it.

          Thank you everyone!

I guess I am really overthinking this stuff and want the perfect binder (like Amy Santiago -Brooklyn NineNine- perfect).

Thank you for sharing your experiences in your interviews too!
