  • Tax Returns and I-485 Interview

    Hi everyone,

My I-485 Employment-Based (I-140) AOS Interview is scheduled for August 6, 2019 and I'm preparing for it right now.

Reading here on the forums, I see that I should take my tax returns to the interview.
    However, my question is:

To meet the requirements for the interview, is it enough if I take my W2s, my 1040s, and the online tax transcripts (downloaded) from the IRS for the past 4 years? Or do I need to pay the $50 to IRS and wait for a certified tax transcript? What has been your experience regarding this requirement?

Regular tax transcripts are fine, no need to pay extra for the certified ones. Good luck with the interview!
