  • How to receive status updates via text messages?

    Hi all,

I observed that some of you received automatic text messages whenever their case status is updated. My question is: how can I receive them as well? I am tired of going to the USCIS website frequently to check status, so it would be nice to receive text messages whenever there is an update on my case. Thanks!

Did you file G-1145? You file this form to get texts & emails from USCIS. If not, you could either file one now, or better yet use a case tracker app.

You also can create an account in both sites:

then you add your cases and there is an option to send SMS and email for any status change.

Our lawyer didn't file G-1145 and I get at least email messages when there is a change of status.

Also the case tracker app send notifications to the phone, but I have received a couple 'new updates' and it was some old message because a website glitch.

I think it comes up in the form of copypasta texts; maybe it does. Let me know more about it.
