  • Urgent!!!!!I-485 filling process

    Hi Everyone,
I recently got married with US citizen and in the process of filling my green card. Currently i am in H1-B status and working. I will like to file I-130 and I-485 concurrently. When i read the forum i found out i will have to file multiple forms along with I-485. I saw i need to file I-485, G-325A(biographic information), do i need to file I-864(affidavit of support requirement) also?,I-693 (Medical Form),I-765(EAD). I need EAD card for work autorization so can i file it with my I-485 so i can have it with in 30-90days. When i will be able to work on that I-765, do i need to wait until i got my EAD card or the recipt itself is fine for working. Do i need to write a separate checks to I-130 & I-485 eventhough i am filing concurrently.

Please help me on this process. I am really shot in money and our baby is on the way. Cant affort to spend more money for lawyer. Please help!!!

I believe that you have to file all the forms, I-485, I-130, nd the G-325A are mandatory for filing both, also the medical I-693 is also important, as sometimes when you submit the application, they could ask to further evidence is you don't include the medical, which will delay it....

the authorisation for work form is optional at this point, but its wise to include it so that they can sort it out all at once and its free when you pay for the I-485.

what I did was send a seperate check for the I-130 and I-485, becos if one combined check is used, and there is a mistake on anything one of the forms, they are more likely to send all back, I will advice you do two seperate checks, I also think that afidavit of support from wife or co-sponsor is required, since its an adjustment of status via marriage.

As for you H1-B status, I believe as I read you can continue to work with it, so long as you are still in status....

I have gathered all this from researching the government site and other help ful site, I am not a lawyer, so use with caution...

      But good luck on everything...
