  • Freaking out please help!

Hi guys I’ve been reading this forum forever and this is my first post so In November 2017 I filed for form i130 for my spouse. We got a letter in July of 2018 that we had to let nvc know if we wanted to adjust status which we did we just couldn’t send the adjustment of status yet. So I called and we were supposed to be good for a year. This April we sent the adjustment of status and the employee authorization papers. Biometrics done. Interview ready to schedule since May. My question is do I still have to call nvc this year? It’s so hard to get through to them and I’m so scared I’ve already missed my date to call back. I signed back on to the online thing they have and everything looks the same idk if that counts as keeping in touch with them.
Also now I’m seeing about a form called i824? Please help I’ll try and make a better time line please respond thank you
i130 submitted nov 2017- PD current nov 2017
    i130 approved July 2018
i485 And EAD sent April 2019
    Biometrics done may 2019
Case ready to be scheduled May 2019

If your AOS case was accepted for processing, I'm not sure why you're freaking out. If you missed something when you filed, you will most likely get an RFE. I am not sure if there is some limited time after approval of i130 that you had to file i485.

They should not have accepted the i-485 missing the i-864. Previously they would have sent a RFIE for the i-864 but with the new policy your i-485 application is likely to be denied.
What you should do is complete a i-864 and submit it with a copy of your i-485 receipt to your local office. Hopefully it will make it to your application before you are denied.

You should make a opy and keep it with you in case they send you an RFIE or take it to your interview if you make it that far.
