    San Francisco field office 2018 filers here!

    Hey everyone! Just wanted to start a fresh thread for San Francisco and/or Bay Area filers that filed in 2018. It seemed like the SF office was moving along in the interview process but now it seems it’s slowed down again.

    I’m DACA filer, category C-09 married to a USC. I was able to fix my EWI status when I was granted AP originally under DACA where I was able to visit my country of birth and came back with inspection.

    Currently waiting for my interview date and also waiting for my EAD/AP combo card renewal. Seems like that’s taking a little longer than the first time around too. My timeline is in my signature.

    Even though this wait is excruciating, I find it cathartic to be able to relate to other people in similar situations on this forum. I personally know someone who got their GC recently after being in a similar situation as me... so that gives me hope! Anyone else wanna share their experience? I also want this thread to continue as people get their interviews and approvals...
    specifically people who are in or around the Bay Area. That way we can possibly gauge a timeline for this backlogged SF office. Weren’t they supposed to get some relief by transferring cases to nearby USCIS offices?

    11/5/19- INTERVIEW SCHEDULED/NOTICE LETTER RECEIVED!
    12/9/19- Interview/approval on same day/card being produced.
    12/12/19- (email) GC being mailed to me notice received.
    12/13/19- (email) USPS picked up card in mail.
    12/14/19- GC delivered.

    I’m an October filer and from the Bay Area. Interested in hearing how others are getting along too
    GC applied due to marriage to a USC, live in SFO
    October 24th 2018. - case received at NBC
    november 21st - fingerprints taken
    march 11th - case ready to schedule interview. Still saying fee for finger prints received
    may 7th - I notified USCIS that my EAD and AP are out side normal processing times. (No reply)
    june 12th - expatiated my case due to needing to travel home to my sisters wedding
    june 13- new card in production

          2/22: rejection because immigration visa is not available
          2/26: explanation letter, sent again
          2/28: PD
          3/14: 3 text message, check cashed out
          3/21: received 3 NOA by mail
          3/29: Biometric done
          4/23: Biometric done second time
          4/24: I485 - Case is Ready to Be Scheduled Interview
          7/30: request I765 case out of normal processing time start at SR...
          8/29: call and officer request another service start at T1B...
          9/5: received email card production

            yes, I called USCIS to expedite my EAD due to my OPT ends in the middle of project.
            I called ombudsman and congressmen for help.
            I got it within about 5 weeks however USPS loss my mail so I called ombudsman for another help to have a replacement from USCIS. I got the replacement one within 2 weeks.

              Marriage-based GC filer here.
              November 7, 2018 priority date
              I received the EAD/AP card in March and the case was ready to be scheduled for an interview then
              I've been waiting for the interview to be scheduled.

                As you all know, I've been with you guys since April of last year.
                So last night, August 1st, 2019 at exactly 11pm, I received an email and a text message from USCIS saying my interview is scheduled. 17 months later, it has finally arrived.
                I'm so greatful and thrilled about it.
                My PD is 3/30/18, and FO is San Francisco.
                I will keep you all updated. I want to send my love to everyone who's been here helping each other out.

                        Just wanted to bump up this thread... any June/July/August 2018 filer esp. from SF with any updates? I read someone from LA who filed in November 2018 got their GC approval.. still wondering if the SF office is still slow...
