Hi! I haven’t had a chance to go to the SSA office just yet.. was really busy between the holidays... but I am planning on it in the next couple weeks. Do you mean you got your green card yesterday? I did not get a conditional as my husband and I have been married for 6 years... but still, might as well go get that unrestricted SS card!

Hey, yes, i got it right before the new year. I also went to SSA office in San Francisco, took me an hour. I think Oakland SSA office is much faster, only took 30min when i visited it a year ago.

          • Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!

We just had our interview earlier this morning and I checked my case status now - it says that a new card is being produced!

Our interview was scheduled at 7:15am and lasted less than 30 minutes. We were sworn by the officer and he asked for our passports, driver licenses, combo card, birth certificate, and marriage certificate. He briefly asked us how we met then proceeded to ask some documents like joint tax returns, lease agreement, bank accounts, etc. He then asked me a series of yes/no questions. He gave me a paper with the interview results, which said that my application is under review. He said that he wants to check some more information because my previous company filed for my employment based green card which our lawyers have already canceled in lieu of the marriage-based path. He said that it’ll take 4-5 weeks because of that. So we were definitely surprised when we saw the update in the case!

            here’s my timeline:
Jan 3, 2019 : priority date; submitted all docs
            Feb 15, 2019: biometrics
            Aug 1, 2019 : EAD/AP combo card approved
            Jan 8, 2020 : received interview notice
            Feb 14, 2020 : interview schedule
