  • No i-485 receipt notice after more than 30 days of filing

    Hello everyone,

My attorney sent in the i-485 package for my spouse to Nebraska Service Center and was received as of 6/25, and as of today, more than 30 days and we still haven't got the receipt notice.

My understanding is it typically takes 2-3 weeks for a receipt notice. I called USCIS customer service and they can't find the i-485 record on their system, which is normal, and told me to wait.

I will check with the law firm on Monday to see if the check was cashed, but I highly doubt it. Not sure what else I can do at this point. Appreciate any advice here.

Hi, My lawyer asked me to wait because the receipt notices can take between 4-6 weeks for some. Even my AOS package got delivered on 7/3 to USCIS Chicago lockbox via USPS and my credit card is not yet charged for fees. I have emailed the Chicago lockbox support email and no response for that. Super frustrated with waiting. Hopefully you should be getting your receipts soon. Please update once you get it.

Agreed! It's so frustrating for the wait. Hopefully you will have an update soon. I will keep you posted if I hear anything from USCIS.

Hi everyone, I have been following this for a while now. I really do need urgent response please! My husband who is a U.S citizen, works with the federal government filed i-130 for me, so we filed I 485 and EAD together with the I 130 on 21st of may 2019, got receipt notice a week later, now its being over 2months and we haven't got biometrics appointment letter. Could that means there is a problem with the application we filed? Meanwhile we didn't use a lawyer. Anyone in this situation or who was once in should please help.

Adrilly : I would call the USCIS customer service number to see what is going on with the biometrics app first. Have you done that?

Adrilly Hope you called the USCIS helpdesk number, 800-375-5283 to check if they already sent you the biometrics letter. Good luck!

sf2019july : Congrats buddy, took a little long but it worth the wait. I still haven't heard anything yet. I called customer service several times but they said that there is no record of the I-485 and the other forms. The wait continues .

Hope you get it soon too. Also, please send an email to Chicago lockbox support [email protected], with your details and the postal delivery time and message of your package via USPS or Fedex.

I'm in the same situation. It's over 40 days since i sent the document package to lockbox.
My lawyer sent e-mail to lockbox last week, but no response.

So I called to customer service, and they also told me there's no record for me at all.
I requested to make "service request" for me so USCIS will find what happened to my case.

You also would be better to contact yourself and ask them.

I hope both of us can get any information soon!
