My i-140 was approved and i-485 is pending currently. I am on F-1 status. I was wondering if my status will change after receiving my EAD or it has already changed and I don't have to attend classes. Please advise. Thanks

From what I read, your status doesn't change until you use other benefits, like working with EAD or parole back with AP after traveling abroad.
Even if your I-485 is pending, I think is a good idea to properly close your F-1 status. If you just don't register for classes or don't show up, the international department could close your file with a violation (no experience here but I read that they have to close the status and report why).

For USCIS I believe you are no longer considered as currently on an F1. At my husband’s university, the university considers him under an F1 until he gets his green card (we asked). But that’s because they can’t recognize the limbo state the USCIS places their applicants. For my husband, he has no desire to leave his degree program. In your case you should feel free to work with your EAD and withdraw from classes, if that’s your preference.AOS from F-1, married to USC (SSM)

Thanks everyone for suggestions. I am taking graduate classes, which will be ending this December. It was kind of question in my mind that I needed to ask.03/05/2019 Filed concurrently EB3 Regular
