Hey guys, i started my journey 2 months ago, i didn’t get ant info about my EAD yet but got an e-mail that my i-485 is ready to schedule my interview, does that mean i’ll skip the process of getting EAD? Or it will come eventually?
My timeline:
11/16/2019 - Marriage with US Citizen (New Jersey)
12/18/2019 - Documents sent to USCIS
12/23/2019 - Case was received in USCIS (Chicago, IL)
01/02/2020 - NOA in my mailbox (I-130, I-485, I-765)
01/18/2020 - Fingerprints appointment scheduled
01/28/2020 - Fingerprints done in local ASC (Hackensack, NJ)
01/30/2020 - Fingerprints were applied to my case
02/18/2020 - Ready to schedule my interview (I-485)11/16/2019 Marriage with US Citizen
12/18/2019 Documents sent to USCIS
12/23/2019 Case was received
01/18/2020 Fingerprints app scheduled

You may! Sometimes you can have the status “ready to be scheduled for an interview” for months before your interview is scheduled! With Newark office, I’m guessing you will first get the EAD! But one never knows. Maybe you’ll have a super fast case and skip the whole EAD thing. It took 6.5 months for my EAD to arrive. Still waiting for an interview to be scheduled! Wow some of you are moving so fast. We are at 11 months and no interview scheduled. Really annoyed with this process!! It took almost 6 months to get our EAD and AP. My daughter (usc) turned 21 last March and has sponsored my husband and I. We both work here under TN visa, for many years. Now have to send in a renewal of AP and EAD. We had a lawyer file all our paperwork and the package was very complete. Just don’t get it!Family based, i130, i131, i765, i485
