  • Combo Card Renewal

    Hi everyone!

I received my EAD Combo Card end of January and my Greencard interview is still pending.
I'd rather not risk it and renew my card in case it takes more time (Santa Ana Processing time is up to 24 months right now).
So I know I can renew the EAD 180 days in advance - but what about the Advance Parole?
Can I just file both documents together again (I-765 & I-131)?
And does anyone know how long the processing time for the renewal is? Is it the same as for the initial application? If so - what happens if they don't renew it in time?
Also - what address should I send the renewal application to? Also the same as the initial one?

Looking forward to hear about your experience!
    Concurrent filing of I-485, I-130, I-131, I-765
Adjusting from J1 Visa, married to US Citizen
    Field Office: Santa Ana, CA

    08/23/18 - PD
    08/28/18 - Fingerprint Fee accepted
    09/26/18 - I-693 Courtesy letter
    10/25/18 - Biometrics Appointment letter
    10/31/18 - Early Bio Walk-in
11/13/18 - Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview
    01/23/19 - EAD/AP approved
    01/28/19 - Combo Card Received
    08/01/19 - Interview was scheduled

By all means file the documents together for EAD/AP renewal. I did that too.
Unfortunately I have not received any further updates from immigration after receiving the NOA for each form application to renew.
The NOA for I-765 automatically extends your EAD for 180 days after the expiry indicated in your card. The rule however seems to not apply with the AP.
My EAD/AP card is expiring within the month and have heard only crickets up to this time Renewal was sent 160 days ago.
I have read around the threads that some people have applied for their renewals and PROMPTLY got a renewal card within a month, but that's not my luck for now.
The renewal application should be sent to the same lockbox you sent your original EAD/AP application.
    Hope this helps your questions.
    Cheers.
