Hello! Here is how my interview went at the West Palm Beach office.
The officer was very friendly, greet us and made us swear the truth. He asked for my passport and my DL, from my husband he asked only the birth certificate (USC) and checked that the copy was on the original package. He said it was a two part interview. First he review the i130/i864 and went along with the questions, name, dob, place of work, and they chat about that for some time. My husband has this great job. After that he asked for the date of his divorce and my husband didn't remember it, and I laughed. The officer joked about it and went on. Then we talked about online dating and how nowadays every one is getting to know people that way. (I met my husband through an app) He review very carefully his finances and even said no wonder I married him.????
Then he went to review the i485. Again, name, DOB, parents name, my divorce date and I totally forgot about it, so they joked about it. ????After that, he went with all the questions of admissibility. I had a doubt on one, and we correct it (welfare), since I had asked before for help when my daughter was born WIC, and he said it was me who asked for it. Then we talked about how I came to the USA and asked me this very specific question: Why staying here? And I simply said that this is home, my kids and my family lives here. I also said that the USA has given me great opportunities that my home country didn't.
After that, he asked if we had any questions and if we had anything else new to show him. We had extra bank statements (since the application), extra pictures, some of the tickets of our trips and he looked at the wedding album. He asked why I was not on his car insurance and we explained that I don't drive his car cause I don't drive manual. Then we explained our living situation: we are staying at his parent's house, we don't have a lease, and we don't have any home bills, and we are saving tons of money.
We believe it was a very positive interview, there was really not one question over our daily lives. He just said that in about two days he will review and sent us a letter with the response. Obviously, we are very anxious to get an answer soon, and for some time be done with this, until removal of conditions.
Our first package was loaded and very well organized (100% from the experience from this forum).
