Hey! Green card applicant here, just did the interview at the local US consulate, and it went well, but now I'm concerned with my legal name in the US. For the time being, my only legitimate name, as appeared on my passport issued by my origin country, is the romanization of my Chinese name, but I do have an alternative English name that I widely use in the US, and I want to make that my legal name. Did a little research, and I could have chosen a new name when I filled in the N-400 Form but I missed that chance lol because I was too little back then to be bothered by these paper works. Is it too late in the process for me to change my name now? If everything goes as expected, I'm getting my card in a few months. I know I can change my name after I get the card by requesting a replacement, but I think that's going to be unnecessary expenses. Thanks a lot guys!
