  • Where do People track their cases? Also EAD question....

    Hello everyone,

Could someone please advise a website where you guys check the status of your cases?

Also, I was on OPT and working for a company. That expired beginning of July. I have filed my forms and received the notification forms. I sent all the notification forms to my employer along with my expired EAD. They are now saying I am authorized to return to work. They go throught all I-9 channels and have many lawyer on the payroll as its an international company. Does anyone have any insight if I am actually able to work or if I have to wait until my card comes in the mail?

    THANK YOU!

egov.uscis.gov/casestatus. I'm almost totally sure you aren't authorized to work with expired OPT. When a current OPT EAD is being extended, STEM extension, for example, that paperwork allows a person to continue working for a certain period. Your new EAD is under an adjustment applicant category. Consult an outside lawyer to prevent any legal issues in the future. I am not an expert.
