Case status: I-130 vs. I-485

Hi all,

If you filed I-130 and I-485 separately, i.e., you filed I-130 first, and then I-485 after PD became current, and you have received receipt notices for both I-130 and I-485, how would you keep track of your case status? Would you check both I-130 and I-485 (since you have receipt number for each), or would you check only I-485 case status?

Each form has its own number, I was tracking 9, now that EAD and AP are approved, only 3 will have movement.

Thanks! Very helpful . If I-130 and I-485 were filed separately, would they combine the two packages so that one center would process them together, or the two packages will remain at different centers to be processed separately?

our 485 and 130 were approved at the same time. Maybe depends when you filed your 130, how far ahead of the 485.
