Hi All,
I have been following this forum for quite sometime now and its my turn to share my gc experience. I had my interview in Boston on July 10th.
PD-Dec 10th
EAD and AP received in May
GC interview notice received on June 8th- 4 weeks before the interview date.
On the day of interview we arrived at the office half hour before the scheduled time, even if you reach early they check in only half an hour before the interview time. We were called in for interview within 10 mins after check in. My husband(petitioner) was taken in first. They asked him questions about our relationship such as when and where we met, what did we do on our first date, on the morning of interview what he did since the time he woke up, and also the officer asked him to submit any supporting documents of marriage.
I was called in after 15 mins, he opened our documents and asked random questions from the application such as parents name, dob, date of marriage and around 50 yes/no questions from the application. After this he asked me the same questions which he had asked my husband to cross check the answers. And then he said I am approving your GC and you should receive it in 3 weeks !!!
Try to stay calm and composed during the course of interview, make direct eye contact with the interviewing officer when he is asking questions and don't look at your spouse before answering.
I wish all of you who are waiting for the interview the very best.
Thank you
