  • Time between Courtesy Letter and Work Permit

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can advise on this...

My first 485 and 765 were denied because I had failed to submit my wife's most recent year tax documents. I submitted these two again on May 30, submitted my I-130 approval letter along with them and this week I received a yellow letter, about missing I-693 "Courtesy letter to applicant". Does that mean they are fine with my sponsors and tax documents this time? Because I hadn't received that courtesy letter on my previous denied application. If yes, how much longer till I get my work permit/SSN?

I think each officer check the documents a little different. Because this is the second time you apply, I guess they checked everything before sending the courtesy letter.
I don't think there is a relation between courtesy letter and time to get work permit/SSN. Some people even get the interview date and GC and never get the EAD.

      Thank you for your answer.

Four days later, yesterday, I received i-485 Initial interview letter.
      It says
“Letters from each current employer, verifying current rate of pay and average weekly hours, and pay stubs for the past 2 months”

One of my sponsors, my mother-in-law is not employed since March. I don't know what to do now.

It says that they need for you and the sponsors? Or only for you?
If the sponsor is not working but have enough money in the bank, that could work (my guess, no experience)
