Well, there is a USCIS directive relating to employment authorization (https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-rele...ation-parolees). However, it seems to apply only to special types of parolees, not to people that have a pending AOS application. Who knows what’s is really going on because USCIS always seems to want to operate like a black box, but there is no doubt that there have been more cases of folks that don’t get an EAD and finish the GC process without ever getting one.
