  • I need URGENT help

I got an update 2 days ago that I didn't show up for the interview. I called USCIS and they confirmed that no notice was ever sent out on top of that online status of my case never changed from fingerprint fee received. The only update was that I didn't show up for the interview. Therefore I had no way of knowing that my interview was scheduled.

I raised SR to reschedule the interview. I received an answer that I need to submit the request to my local office with supporting documents within 30 days. Today, I went to local office and they didn't let me in without an info pass. I called USCIS and they told me that I do not qualify for an info-pass because my case is still in normal processing time... I waited Tier 2 officers call all day and when he called me, he said thank you for calling USCIS and hang up on me. And yesterday I waited for tier 2 officer call all day long and no call back again.

What are my options at this point? I really don't want my case to be denied!!

That’s weird! Did you change your address or something? Uscis has tendency of sending notices to old addresses even when you let them know prior. Hop it’s just a glitch in their system in your situation. Keep calling them until you find an answer.

I did change my address and I went to my old address. No one lives there so I was able to go through all the mail since I moved. Nothing from USCIS and also I had mail forwarding service so all my mail was forwarded. I REALLY hope it's just a glitch!!

Hi there, I had similar problems with you regarding USCIS. They claimed I never showed up for my interview even though they sent the notice to my old address.

Listen to my advice. Look up who your representative in Congress is. Is this person a Democrat? If so, good! They are more likely to want to help you. You need to call the local office of your member of congress and tell them you need help with a federal agency. Explain the situation to them, provide any documentation you have, and your congressperson will reach out to USCIS. When USCIS receives inquiries about cases from members of congress based on their own mistakes, they bend over backwards to make sure they fix the situation.

My congresswoman inquired on my behalf about my case. A week later, USCIS responded to me with a new interview date. Good luck!

Thank you so much!! I will definitely listen to your advice! They did not send out any notification neither to my old address or current address. I have access to both mailboxes. In addition to all these today Tier 2 officer told me that nothing was scheduled for me, I didn't miss any kind of appointment but I should still submit rescheduling request to my local office. I was like huh?!?! so why is all this mess if nothing was scheduled, why my online account was updated as I didn't show up?!? I am not going to take a chance of getting denied and I'll listen to your advice. Thank you so much!!

Yes, I did. Plus they send EAD renewal notifications to my new address. On top of all these, I have access to my previous mailbox (no one lives there) and current mailbox. Nothing has been sent to me. Even if they have sent it to my previous address I would have received it...

Smh! Can’t trust uscis, they do this all the time. I think everyone should get informed delivery with Usps. I’m glad you spoke to a tier 2 officer. Good luck
