When my husband called uscis yesterday they said our case hasn’t been assigned and they have 30 days to respond to SR and after that you can raise another SR and wait 30 days then a 3rd SR and after that then you can ask to expedite! This is complete incompetence! He asked about speaking to a Tier 2 officer and they said the Tier 2 would tell him the same thing. We have had no updates since filing on March 12, just case received. No Ead, no AP, getting super frustrated. What do you have to say to the person in order to speak to a Tier 2?

Form I 485 interview completed on June 28th in the Cincinnati office in Ohio, the IO told us our 2yrs conditional green card would come first and we could apply for the 10yrs later, IO also said we could travel and work wherever we wanted and she has to review our case. Till date, no update yet, please is this normal? as we had a successful interview,I'm worried and needed heads up. Thanks all

Hi
Call the USCIS number when you speak to the representative on phone. Please ask him to transfer you to Tier2.
he will transfer you to a call back service. Just make sure your call back number is good and then the system tells you the wait time for call back.
I have tried it t2 times and call backs from tier 2 Officer both the times in the specified window
good luck09/19/2019 - Case Approved i130 & i485
06/28/2021 - i-751 sent via UPS
07/02/2021 - Check was cashed & got receipt number starting SRC
07/06/2021 - Received 18 months extension in mail
08/16/2021 - biometrics waived; received i797 in mail. Online status still at case received
11/20/2021 - Received 24 months extension in mail

I guess my husband just has to insist to speak to a Tier 2, the person just did not want to transfer him. Said our case has not been assigned so a Tier 2 person would not be able to help him.Family based, i130, i131, i765, i485

Some representatives on the phone might try to discourage you from putting the expedite request but you should be able to put the request anyway.
I would suggest chatting with Emma, on their website https://www.uscis.gov/ and ask in the chat to talk to a representative. Ask to expedite the EAD through the chat, it's possible!
