  • Form I 693 signed after 60 days

I had the form signed back in April and has exceeded the 60 day deadline which makes it no longer valid.

    The medical examination included
    -Physical Exam
    -Urine and blood test
    -vaccinations

Do I need to get the whole exam redone? Or can I have the doctor re-sign and re-seal?

First, that only happens if you haven't filed form I-485.
So my question is: have you filed I-485 yet or when are you going to file?

If you haven't filed I-485, then yes, you need a new sealed package. Is up to the doctor to charge you less than before to give you a new sealed package with new date and what they need to do (maybe the urine and blood test again).

I filed I-485 together with I-693 but my package was returned because there were some corrections to be made. When the package was returned, I-693 came back as well opened although there were any problems with the examination itself.

Now I need to resubmit my package and I was told it's best re-do the exam since it needs to be resealed and has since been expired.

I'm just wondering if I could have the doctor just sign again with the new date and new deal and keep the contents as is since I've gotten them done as recent as last April?

Ok, then yes, is it better to have a new sealed package.
Talk with the doctor you visited, explain the situation they may be able to do it with a discount. I think I read that some doctors will try to charge in full again but others can do it for a low fee.

            Hi,

They asked me a new medical exam too.
So I explained to the doctor that it was just an update and that i already did all the tests and vaccinations. They asked me to take with me the copy of my first exam (it was another doctor). They only did the physical exam and they gave me a new I-693 in a sealed package.

I advise you to call different doctors and explain them that it's just an update and that you already did all the test and vaccinations required and compare the prices.
I only paid 50 dollars ! Some doctors asked me to pay 150 dollars which is reasonable and some others asked me 400 !!!

              Hi Ajid

Your initial blood tests were more than 60 days old when the new doctor signed your new form, do you know if that's okay/ were there any issues with that? I heard that the blood tests are valid for one year so the doctor doesn't have to do them again in a case like yours they just have to redo the physical exam and the form + sign. Just want to confirm if that's actually the case?

              Thanks
