Can we mail in additional documents before RFE/Denial decision is made?

Hi all,

I found that I didn't include some documents that should have been included in my original application package. I have been waiting for RFE, but become increasingly worried that I could get a denial instead. Do you think it would be better for me to mail in the missing documents NOW instead of waiting until the RFE/Denial decision is made? What risk is there for me to do so? Thanks for your inputs!

Exactly what documents are missing? Generally you can not send additional info unless you recieve RFE.

Thanks for your kind response. Many documents about evidence of our genuine marriage/relationship (such as travels record, photos, wedding documents, etc.) are missing. We are wondering if we can mail them in now.

No you can bring those to interview. Unlikely they will even send you an RFE for that. As long as you included you marriage certificate you should be fine.

The only evidence I submitted with the application was my marriage certificate. We presented the evidence we had collected on the day of the interview. You will be fine.

You don't need to submit those with the application package, you can bring them to the interview.
