I have submitted I-485 2 months ago but not received biometrics appointment notice

I have submitted I-485 (marriage based, green card holder) on 1st week of July, 2019. (Receipt date says they received the case on July 5th, 2019).
However, I have still not received biometrics appointment notice.
I have seen two other cases (I-485, marriage based, citizens) that they completed fingerprint registration even though they submitted I-485 application later than us.
I spoke to my lawyer regarding the issue and the only response from him was to wait.
I think I should contact USCIS to confirm our case is not missing and there isn't any error.
My lawyer provided me phone number to call USCIS.
What would be best way to contact USCIS? via website or call?
And what should my question be in order to have effective, efficient conversation with USCIS?

I just did my biometrics 4½ months after filing.... I did call them two times though, not sure if that helped or not. It seems like it really matters where you live....
