I'm checking the processing times for i485 at my local field office. The estimate says - 7.5 to 17.5 months. Below that it estimates employment-based cases to take 10.5 to 24 months, and family-based ones 11.5 to 25 months. How is this supposed to be interpreted?

For at least 4 different locations, I noticed that employment and family based estimates are the same, 10.5-24 and 11.5-25, respectively, but the numbers on the top vary.3/3/19 - filed

The first number means 50% of cases are adjudicated by then. The second number means 90% of cases are. Then you look at the date that they say is out of normal times to get the last bit so you can inquire with USCIS as to why its outside that range.
