Hello,
My wife just got the interview schedule notice from USCIS. She was admitted into the US on a K1 visa, hence all medical exams were made overseas (these exams are no older than a year from the date I-485 AOS was submitted). In the interview notice there is a checklist where at some point it states the following: "A completed medical examination (Form I-693) and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope (unless already submitted)".
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When she entered the US, the officer in the airport took the sealed envelope that was given to her overseas by the Consulate. This envelope contained all medical exams and vaccinations.
We did not submit anything medical related with the I-485 AOS!
The I-485 went thu with no RFE regarding medical (got approved and hence interview was scheduled).
It is still required to have anything medical at the interview? I see that over 90% of the interview experiences don't include a medical question/request. I'm a bit confused on this matter.
this is from I-693 instructions:------------------------
"Even if a new medical examination is not required, you must still show proof that you complied with the
vaccination requirements. If the vaccination record (DS 3025) was not properly completed and included as
part of the original overseas medical examination report, you will need to have the Part 10. Vaccination
Record completed by a designated civil surgeon. In this case, you must submit Parts 1. - 5., 7., and 10.
of Form I-693."
From this paragraph I understand that she doesn't need them (proof) since they were inside that sealed envelope that was taken at the entry point.
thank you
