i485 Sacramento

Had our i-485 interview in Aug and the officer mentioned the case is certainly approvable. All documents were intact and officer mentioned he will approve it soon. Been having the "Interview was complete and it is held for review" till present. We also see the processing time increasing and also the priority date going back to 2016 - yikesss. Our receipt date was may 2018. So, it has been a stressful 45 days to say the least - just waiting for things to happen - especially when priority date is current.
Is sac office usually this slow. Am seeing cases elsewhere which gets approved sometimes in a matter of days and possess GC in hand in 7-10 days.
Officer interview experience was good - no issues but this wait is killing us .

And we come under rest of the world quota so pd is current.

I’m also from Sacramento, I filed in March of this year (I485 marriage based) and on August 21 my status changed to case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. It’s been a month already and I still haven’t received an appointment yet. When did you file and how long did it take to get an appointment if you don’t mind me asking

Our filing/Receipt date is May 2018 and our interview was scheduled for Aug 16th. I received notice in mail for interview in 3 weeks. I think you should be getting one soon. I have seen online that sometimes it comes late. Usually from the time the status changes to "Ready to be scheduled for an interview" - the interview is set 6 weeks ahead. (Same was with me). So, keep checking your mail daily. Hope this helps. All the best.

It is going to be 45 days since my interview but no change in status. I understand for some people it takes 3- 6 months - but our interviewing officer kept our case and did not send to NBC so he can approve it at the earliest in sept and it is now end of sept. Calls to Customer care is a waste of time as an infopass is not issued before 90-120 days of the interview and no contact with the officer - so kinda playing the waiting game
