  • Medical Expectations

    HI all,

Anyone else from the UK who can testify to their medical experience in terms of if they needed anything further done? I had a tonne of prices come back at around $400 but one local doctor is doing them for $175 minus any additional for vaccines needed. I have requested my vaccination record from my GP in the UK to ensure no issues with confirming if I have had anything done.

What was your experience like and am I likely to come up against any additional costs for further vaccines? The form itself comes across very confusing.

I'm not from the UK, but check this document to clarify some confusions https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugee...tructions.html See page 8 especially. It's also more cost-effective to get any missing vaccines (my husband was only missing recent Tdap, I wasn't missing anything) from your in-network healthcare providers. Your civil surgeon might charge you full price for the vaccinations, and not have them go through your insurance. We paid $250 each for the form.
