  • I woke up this morning the the sweet email "New card is being produced"

OK. Here is my story: We had our interview! It was scheduled for 8:00 AM and 8:10 the IO opened the door, called my wife's name and when we both approached, he asked me to wait 15 - 20 minutes because he wanted to have the interview with her and the translator. The TV in the waiting room was on and I killed the time watching infomercial of vacuum cleaner! After 40 minutes, at 8:50 he called my name, he asked me some questions about our relationship (how and when we met, my wife relationship with my kids, etc). He was writing down every single word that I said comparing what I said with my wife's responses. Then he asked me to see some evidences that we live together, (he kept copies of a few water/electric bills, proof that my wife is the Beneficiary of my 401K, life insurance). I pulled some extras, but he said those wouldn't be needed because he has already in the file. Then he asked me to see some photos but he did not keep any photos either. When we submitted the 485, we added a bunch of photos. In 10 minutes my interview was done.

My wife was not approved on the spot. In the afternoon, the status online was "Case must be reviewed". However, this morning, I woke up with an email from USCIS saying "New card is being produced".

BTW we did not have any attorney throughout our immigration process. Literally, it was a DYI process.

For those who read this post and are still waiting for your interview, good luck!
    My wife's timeline:
    03/04/19 - Forms 485,130 and 765 received by USCIS
    04/04/19 - Biometric
07/16/19 - RFE issued by USCIS (asked for the 2018 Taxes)
08/13/19 - Evidences received by USCIS
    08/26/19 - Interview was scheduled
    10/01/19 - Interview
10/02/19 - New card is being produced.
    10/07/19 - I-797 received informing the I-130 and I-485 have been approved.
10/07/19 - Card was mailed to my wife
10/10/19 - Card received (7 months and 7 days but her card states "resident since 10/2")

Hi. On 2nd October i went for the H4 visa interview in Calgary, Canada. I dont have my husbands stamped visa. I had i797 page. Unfortunately, The interviwer asked me for the primary applicants stamped visa. I explained the situation. Later they checked online for the primary applicants documents. They were unable to see anything that moment and sent the e-mail to USCIS for the confirmation regarding documents. At last the interviewer told me, that we are good with everything, just unable to see documents online, as soon USCIS makes the confirmation we will proceed your work. And said, usually passport is received within 3- 5 days. You will take few more days. This is all what happened in my case. So, does anyone have faced this same scenario? Should i email US consulate, just as a reminder?
I also have a 6 month old baby. She is due for her immunizations, which is possible once we reach USA.
i will be pleased to have your valuable suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I don't know the answer and I think you should start a new thread.
