Interview scheduled and cancelled??

This is weird. Yesterday, I got a notice that my interview has been scheduled and now just got a notification that is cancelled....

Scanigm happened to me in August.
Aug 1, online update stated ready to schedule.
Aug 2, online update stated scheduled. I received the notice for the interview date in the mail around the fifth for the 12th of Sept.
Aug 8, I just randomly checked online and saw that on the 7th, they cancelled my interview and sent notice.

Til now, still awaiting the re-schedule. Did you get your notice as yet?

I have read this happens sometimes. Maybe the system assigns the interview date but then the officer can't make it and the appointment is canceled.

I think there is nothing you can do but wait for a new interview date. I am sorry this happened to you.

If you don't get any letters in the mail after 2 weeks, call them just to make sure there is no mistake and the interview is really canceled. I hope you get a new date soon.

Scanigm If it is cancelled, you will definitely get it in the mail this week since you received the update online ending of last week to the weekend. If nothing arrives, I would call and speak to a Tier 2. That's what I did just to confirm and yes, they did mention it could be that the queue for that office was too long for the date, the IO wasn't available for your interview, etc. In my case, a lot of people were actually cancelled that day for the office but then some were rescheduled within a week of the cancellation while others are still waiting. Hope you get your reschedule quick. Good luck!

My status just updated today at 3 “Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview”

i wonder if my application is back to zero again. ????

Scanigm hope not. What is the timeframe for processing at your FO? Although I just use that as a guide and not a set timeframe because they seem to have diff. factors to base scheduling on. Hopefully you get re-scheduled soon. I actually googled mine with the date of interview to see if anyone else was and found similar people scheduled for the same day as my interview were cancelled too but some of them were re-scheduled several days later. Here is my timeline. Field Office San Francisco.
Aug 29: interview scheduled
Aug 30: interview canceled
Sep 3: I got 2 letters: interview scheduled, and interview canceled due to unforeseeable circumstances.
Sep 4: interview scheduled, interview date: 5 days after the canceled one.
Hope that you will get a date soon.
