How long does it take for EAD for biometrics?

Hi,

I applied on marriage based i 485 on19 feb 2010. I got my biometrics taken on March 18, 2010. how long does it usually take get EAD after biometrics. and also USCIS havent updated my case since march 19, 2010. When should expect that? I applied in chicago center.

it depends

It all depends on different factors as each case is unique. If you have a straight cut case, from the time you file it may take up to 90 days to receive EAD. If USCIS sends you RFE for any reason, the process can be delayed to issue you EAD. Sometime, applicants even don't receive EAD and get interview notice. So all you can do is keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best!
