Filing I-485 without I-797 approval notice

Hello-

Need the community's input on whether I can submit AOS packet with I-797 receipt notice fro I-140, not approval notice?

Reason being, my I-140 application was approved on Aug. 22nd, but I have not yet received the I-797 in the mail, and I would like to proceed promptly to avoid elongating my timeline.

11/01/19: Priority mailed packet through USPS
11/07/19: USPS Notification of delivery to USCIS Dallas
11/27/19: Received text msg notice of receipt
11/29/19: Check cashed
12/03/19: Received I797 in mail- Notice date 11/27/19
12/07/19: Received fingerprint appointment notice
12/18/19: Fingerprint appointment date
03/11/2020: EAD/AP Approval

Thank you newacct , could you please share experiences you are aware of? I'm unsure about the implications of my intended plan as it is different from concurrent or semi-concurrent filing. Thanks!
