So my interview is cancelled, but lawyer said to go?

my status on oct 3rd “interview has been scheduled” on oct 4th, I received the notification that my interview had been cancelled. On oct 8th, my status changed to “Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview”

today, I received in the mail that my interview has schedule which is next month. I have no gotten the interview cancellation letter.

I called USCIS and spoke to a Tier 1 rep. She said that THIS letter I received today is my interview date. I also emailed the lawyer and said to go on the notice.

When my interview was canceled, I received the cancellation letter. So If you don't get the cancelation letter before the interview date, just go. Maybe it was a system error, and your interview is still on.

I think you will get the cancelation letter tomorrow or Monday. I agree that if you don't get it is better for you to go (if you can and if you don't want to talk with Tier 2 officer).

Gotcha. I asked the tier 1 and she mentioned that that THIS IS my interview date. I will call Tier 2 tomorrow to confirm.

My advice is to go for your interview.
I received notification on a Friday that my interview was scheduled, than Saturday another notification that it got canceled.
My status went from "Case was received", straight to "Interview Scheduled" to "Interview Canceled" .
4 days after, I received the letter with my interview date (which was in 2 weeks from the day my status got updated), but no cancellation letter ever came. Status on the app and account was still showing that interview was canceled.
So we went to the interview at the date in the letter and it was indeed scheduled. Our interview was conducted at the day and time shown in the letter.

Sometimes there are glitches in the system and we should not pay too much attention to them.

I agree with previous posts. Unless you get a cancelation letter, please go to the interview.

I received my cancellation letters at Friday... I guess no interview. Tier 2 rep told me to call USCIS after 14 days and ask for tier 2 officer to follow up on the case.
