  • Several updates of "case transferred" on my AOS cases? Which one to believe?

My EB based AOS at Nebraska Service Center finally received an update after a few months of inactivity, but the initial relief has turned sour due to the number of misleading updates.

All updates received in the last 2 days.

The updates in the order received,

1st - Case was transferred to another office, for me and dependent
2nd - Case was transferred to local office. Only for me in myaccount.uscis website.... not on the egov case tracker
3rd - Case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction, for me and dependent.

Called USCIS number. Auto response update for my wife says case is in Lincoln, NSC. For me, case transferred to another office (not specifying the office).

I cannot make head or tail of this.

Did our cases make progress from NSC to NBC, then regress to NSC??

Nope. I completed the biometric a couple of months ago and this is the first status change since.

Any idea which update of mine I can trust? Or just rely on whatever mail that comes in?
