                Great! What was your RFIE?
I did my biometrics last Monday and now I am getting anxious about next step. I have seen people updated in two weeks to "interview ready to be scheduled" if no RFE is involved. But I have also read about people waiting for months for an update. We'll see. My field office is Pittsburgh and I have read mixed experiences as to how fast they handle cases once they get the paperwork.

I feel like October was kinda a bad month to file due to how busy it got during that month due to the change in fees and application process so everyone filed, plus it was then thanksgiving and soon to be Christmas..

I definitely didn’t get a “interview ready to be scheduled” after 2 weeks. I waited a week (including weekend days) after fingerprints and then filed for expedite for the I-765. I got an RFIE then. I’m still waiting.

My case is with NBC and my local office is Denver, CO and I don’t know much about their office!

sorry for the huge rant, my guy, I just thought I’d add my thoughts as to why it’s so busy lately!

I think you are absolutely right! Was your AOS marriage based?
My worry is getting a RFIE for the i864 because we didn't include proof of current employment (though we did include copies of the last 3 years worth of tax returns). I don't think I am going to get any update in December... So I might just as well wait and start getting worried in January lol

Mine is marriage based, yes. My RFIE was because of a missing 2018 tax return from my spouse, weird birthday not unheard of that they lose things. Hoping to send that off today or tomorrow. And pray that they get back to me soon and get my expedite back up and running again.

I think you’re supposed to include proof of employment because my spouse had to submit a letter from her current employer saying what rate of pay / hours she does.

Well, on the instructions for the I-864 it doesn't say that you HAVE to send proof of employment, so I don't know. I just want to stay positive! I didnt request for an expedite I-765 so who knows when they'll start looking at my application after the fingerprints...

I think I only got an RFIE so soon because I asked to expedite. Yesterday made it 2 months since USCIS received my file, had I not have asked to expedite — I think I’d still be waiting on it.

                          • So after anxiously waiting for 10 days for this RFIE to finally arrive in the mail today. After 10 days of worrying and reviewing my submission, wondering what I missed and what they would ask for. The RFIE arrived in the mail today and these blooming idiots are asking for proof of my citizenship. I sent copies of my green card, front and back and my cover letter stated that I was a LPR filing for my spouse since the Oct bulletin showed the F2a category was current. SMH. Kissing my teeth and rolling my eyes.

Hi there, basically it doesn’t quite matter which company translated the English version. In my RFE letter it asked me to refer to below website for birth certificate:

Depending on the officer who review the application, one MAY get away with a notarized certified english translation of medical birth certificate if lucky. But apparently a Notarial birth certificate from GongZhengChu is now the standard procedure.
