I have a job offer. I also have a student payment that needs paying. Can I use these as evidence and a cover letter and try to expedite my case?

hey guys, it was horrific waiting for the biometric appointment notice. my PD is oct 7th,and finally i received the biometrics appointment notice today nov 22nd.

10/30 they sent the form I-797
10/31 they took the money from my account (I sent the form to pay with my card)
10/31 text with the receipt notice
11/08 appointment scheduled for biometric
11/22 Biometrics completed
11/22 Fingerprints review was completed

How soon is too soon to phone USCIS and ask to expedite?

I just checked our case status online and it now says “As of Nov. 22, your request is currently not assigned for processing.” This is after a week of it saying it was assigned to an officer for response on Nov 15. (For no biometrics notice).

I am really discouraged. Not sure what to do at this point.

That is really discouraging, I am really sorry to hear that. I submitted the same request on the 19th of November. However I did receive an email as I submitted the e-form that a response will be ready by the 11th of December. Did you receive such email? Also, I haven't tried calling, did you call the USCIS and asked them? Hopefully things start moving along for all of us waiting for the biometrics, its really worrying me that people that filed before us have gotten theirs already .... I can't help but to think that my notice never came because of the address change even though I changed it the day we moved to a different apartment and were constantly checking mail at the old place. Who knows, I will be making a phone call on Monday.

I never received an email, just a confirmation number that the request was received and underneath a line saying we would hear back by December 7. I am calling on Monday as well. This whole thing is starting to make me feel ill.

Yeah, that's what I meant, a confirmation number. I know how you're feeling, I also heard customer service isn't as helpful, that they basically refer to the "check status" on the website, I think also when calling, request to speak to a 2nd tier officer and they'll be able to tell you what's really going on, from what I read before, they will also say, wait for another 2 weeks to pass and then give us a call again if you haven't still received the notice ( it does happen apparently ) etc... So just more waiting time, I hope the biometrics notice delay doesn't cause an actual delay when getting EAD and the interview date, what do you think?

Will not happen again until the first week of December. Reason being? You have to get the notice Atleast 1 week before the interview. From what I’ve read/heard, the delay does not affect processing of the case. In fact, there were some people on here who didn’t do biometrics until 4-5 months after filing and then had their interview scheduled like a week later. Who knows?? I’m just hoping all of us still awaiting the appt hear something soon!

Here is one of the threads from 2018 that talks about delayed biometrics. I also saw one of the signatures got the medical courtesy letter even before the bio appt, didn’t receive the appt letter for 2 months, then was scheduled for interview 13 days later. Trying to stay strong!!
