So after anxiously waiting for 10 days for this RFIE to finally arrive in the mail today. After 10 days of worrying and reviewing my submission, wondering what I missed and what they would ask for. The RFIE arrived in the mail today and these blooming idiots are asking for proof of my citizenship. I sent copies of my green card, front and back and my cover letter stated that I was a LPR filing for my spouse since the Oct bulletin showed the F2a category was current. SMH. Kissing my teeth and rolling my eyes.

I had gotten the same RFIE even though it was clearly stated in the original submission that I had filed under the F2A category. I guess this is just a delaying tactic on their end.

Completed my Biometrics, it was super quick and fast, maybe like 5 mins in total. Case status was also changed that Biometrics were done, but only for i485 not for i765, not sure whether that will change in the next few days, who knows. I guess that's that, now the big wait for the interview, no?

In my case it changed the same day for I-765 and the next day for I-485.
Yup, now the waiting game begins!

I did some research last night and found that USCIS do this same crap every time the F2A category gets current. I saw folks in the same circumstances getting the same RFIE back in 2013. The F2A has been current from July to now, you would think a training memo would have gone out for the intake staff at NBC by now. Geez!!

Yup, that's USCIS for you. I figured this too when doing some research about the RFE.
Responded myself with a cover letter explaining original petition was filed under F2A and the P.D. was current in October. Attached cover letter, copy of RFE, copy of PR card, copy of original I-485 and I-130 submissions, copy of the October visa bulletin which stated the F2A was current.

10/31 they took the money from my account (I sent the form to pay with my card)
10/31 text with the receipt notice
11/08 appointment scheduled for biometric
11/22 Biometrics completed
11/22 Fingerprints review was completed
12/17 Request for evidence ????

Did you send medical initially? If not it could be a courtesy letter Or did you receive a regular RFE? Could you clarify please. Thanks

You have to check online (the uscis acct or if you use another tracking app) unless you set up the uscis account with text notifications.
