Here is what you need to do concurrently:
1. File a complaint with the HR Department manager.
2. If this is a large employer, file a complaint the US Department of Labor / ERISA division.
3. If this is a small employer, file a complaint with your State Department of Insurance.
4. Remember to document everything.
You will only need a form of ID and proof of marriage to get added to the plan. Nothing else is needed.
This is pretty much the law.
FYI - I resolved such issues for many people with my official capacity. Personally, I am a US citizen and I refused to provide my SSN due to privacy reasons.

We came to the USCIS Chicago location around 7:30 am and our interview was at 8 am. After passing through security check points ( same as at the airport ), we went to the second floor where a lady scanned our interview notice and gave a number which we will be called by for the interview. I was very nervous, since we've been only married for 4 months, even though we've been dating long distance for over 5 years before getting married, I still felt like we didn't have a lot of supporting documents. Either way, we were greeted by our IO who was already smiling and seemed very nice, she's a young lady maybe in her early 30s. She swore us in, took a photo of me and scanned both of my index fingers. She asked for my original birth certificate which I did not have with me ( It was supposed to arrive 14 days ago from my home country, but that lil piece of paper is still being held at the customs as we speak....) so I told her about the situation and provided her with a certified scanned copy and gave her the copy of the DHL tracking just to back up what I was saying and that I really tried getting it before the interview. She smiled and said no big deal. Also asked for my passport, EAD card, SSN and my old passport that had my B2 visa on which I entered. Then she started going over the forms, first was I-485, she was verifying information on there such as my birthday, the last date I arrived to the US, date of our marriage, my spouse's birthday and I think that was it. She made a correction to the address, since we've moved to another apartment after we filled. She proceeded to ask maybe 15 yes/no questions from the form, she did not ask all of them. When she asked about whether I have ever worked unauthorized in the US, I said yes ( Even though we originally put no ) because I did some freelancing, writing articles and translation for a company and have gotten paid for it ( This was after we filled ). And I think that was it, and she made me sign the form and underneath, my husband signed it as well. Then she started going over his form, the I-130, and did the same thing, this one took even less, there were no yes/no questions and she only asked of him for his passport and his ID. She was very chatty and talkative through-out the whole process. She asked us how and when we met and when did we decided to get married. That was it. She asked about if we have more supporting documents we would like to submit, I said yes and proceed to give her each document, one by one, explaining to her what each document was ( I also labelled them, she complimented us on being very organized with our papers and application ) and told her about the lack of certain ones such as joint taxes because of the SSN and that infamous ITIN number. After that, she was just very pleasant, started talking about her job and her life, my husband saw that she had a picture of a girl and painting in her office, so he asked whether her daughter did that, she said yes and then we were like, you look so young old is your daughter etc. Overall a really pleasant lady, we couldn't have wished for a better one. After we finished, she said I believe that you are really married and that you really love each other LOL As we were about to walk out I asked, is there anything else we needed to know about this process, she just said, you'll get an approval notice in the mail soon and that'll be followed by a conditional green card. She didn't give me any white paper to sign, which I've read on here that a lot of people get. And to think that I was stressed out about this process the entire month of January...
Anyway, I tried to be as detailed as possible, because it literally lasted maybe like 30 minutes, 15 of which she basically just chit chatted with us, another 15 were about the forms. If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask me

Good morning everyone!
Yesterday night I received an "update" from the case tracker app, saying something like "unable to retrieve information from your case" or similar. Now I check the USCIS page and got this screenshot. This morning I just checked the Case Tracker app again and it went back to RFIE response received, but the USCIS webpage still says this. Anyone on the same boat?
Have a lovely day!F1 AOS though marriage to a USC

So this morning I wake up to a text message and email from [email protected]. I get all excited because the receipt number referenced is for the I-765. The email and text message both say "We have taken an action on your case. Sign in to your account to view your case status." I start smiling. I log in with great expectations, ready to celebrate. Then... nada. The status is exactly the same as it has been for the last 117 days.So now they're just playing with my emotions. Sucking my teeth and rolling my eyes.
USCIS is not good for my mentals. They just messed up my whole day.
Anybody else had this experience?
