  • As october 2019 filers, must we have a health insurance during the interview?

My and my wife ( US citizen ) don't have it. I appreciate if you have a recommendation about insurance plans and prices?

    • My wife is currently pregnant and working alongside with her pregnancy. Her pregnancy is due in April 2020. The aftermath of her delivery will put my family into severe hardship (paying of rent, utility bill, etc) since her source of income keeps the family going. To mitigate this effect i have decided to expedite my EAD process based on pending i-485 (submitted October, 14th 2019). Moreover, I am on F 1 visa and my source of income wouldn't be able to cater for the entire family (family of 3 + the unborn baby)

Can i expedite my process base on this, if yes, what supporting documents should i include??

                • Hi, everybody! Apologies in advance for this incredibly long post lol I found this forum a few days ago and it's been so helpful to read everybody's updates. I'm an October filler and we are waiting for the mail to know our interview date!!!!!! In the meantime I decided to start organizing the evidence file. I would appreciate your comments about it!!!

LONG STORY SHORT: We met on Tinder in 2016 and we started dating a few weeks after... he proposed in 2018 and we got married shortly after that. During the whole time i kept flying back and forth 'til 2019 when i finally stayed and later we send our file.

FILE: There's a few things I consider important for evidence, but we DON'T have.

                  1. Wedding pictures: We eloped and decided to push the big celebration in order to save enough money for it, and plan it without stressing ourselves, our friends and fam (we want a destination wedding, weekend type of celebration). We are currently planning but I think the absence of wedding pictures can make the IO believe we are lying. We also haven't done any payment for the wedding, due to not knowing when I'll be able to start making money and also travel. We just have our rings, and a wedding agenda with all our ideas and desires.

                  2. Joint accounts and finances: I haven't received a SSN either EAD, so its kinda hard for me to help with money when i'm not legally able to work. I think that's something we can explain and the IO could understand. For that reason we don't have a joint bank account; he also.tried to add me to his Company's Insurance but they denied as I'm not a resident.

                  3. I haven't change my last name.

NOW WHAT WE DO HAVE: I saw 4ever's threat (thank you so much if you're reading) and I changed it with our information. I think it's a great base to wok with (I changed dates and names to YYYY to post it here). This is what I have.

I would appreciate you guys feedback and opinion about it.

I think we have pretty good evidence. There's some stuff I know i'm missing right now but putting everything together is a long process to get our entire relationship in two folders!!!
I would appreciate you guys feedback and opinion about it.
                      Thank you so much.
It’s not true a bank required a SSN. ITIN is ok for a bank and your husband can give them his SSN for a joint account

Hi! We went to Chase Bank and that’s the response we got. We didn’t try another bank cause it has sense for us to have an account there since my husband already has his account, credit cards, etc

(Note: The Petitioner and Spouse Beneficiary tried to open joint bank accounts from various banks as 'Evidence of Financial Commingling', but were unsuccessful, as the banks require Spouse Beneficiary's SSN, which she does not have yet pending her adjustment application. The Petitioner tried to add Spouse Beneficiary to Insurance, but Insurance denied as they require Spouse Beneficary’s Resident Status)

I think we have pretty good evidence. There's some stuff I know i'm missing right now but putting everything together is a long process to get our entire relationship in two folders!!!
I would appreciate you guys feedback and opinion about it.
                            Thank you so much.
Do you have joint tax returns? Those should be included. And did you get an ITN? That can be used to add you to the bank account and insurance policies.

It’s actually sort of true. A lot of banks are giving problems to even have you added as a secondary.

You can be added as an authorized user and/or beneficiary to his accounts and write a letter why you’re not a joint account because of SSN etc. My hubby has a chase credit card and I’m an authorized user with my own card same number and chase wrote a letter with that info. I’m also a beneficiary on his accounts
