    He got a job offer on Monday, so that's what we're going with. That plus my hours have been cut back at work and my property tax bill is due. Hopefully that's enough to show financial hardship if he can't accept the job.

      If you dont mind me asking how does one without ead get a job offer? Where do you go?

        I would say it all depends on a company. From my personal experience, at my previous 2 companies, I was asked to provide a proof that I'm eligible to work in the USA within a first week after starting.

              To be honest, I don't know what you mean, but when I apply for a job I send my resume to open positions I consider, then phone interview, then test project, then interview in person, then interview with CEO or hiring manager, then if they ready to hire you they send you an offer with the proposed salary, if you like the offer - you sign it and you are employed.

                  F1 AOS married to USC. Field Office: Dallas, TX
                  10/21: I-485, I-765 and I-131 sent to USCIS Chicago Lockbox (via FEDEX).
                  10/23: Package delivered (PD)
                  11/07: 11:37 pm: four NOAs text messages
                  11/14: Three I-797 hard copies in the mail
                  12/05: Biometrics appointment
                  12/06: Fingerprint review was completed
                  01/02: I-485 “Case Ready To Be Scheduled For an Interview”
                  2/12/2020: I-765 New Card Being Produced
                  2/13/2020: I-765/I-131 Case Was Approved
                  2/19/2020: Received EAP/AP Combo card

                      • My interview question was centered on why I overstayed my visa and why I choose to come to Chicago. Then we got separated, my wife and I .. then they asked the regular questions again..

                            What was your answer when they ask you about overstated? Just curious what kind of response they were expecting
