Hi fellow October 2019 filiers! Just wanted to give an update on our case. We were part of the cohort of people who had their interviews in late March cancelled at the last moment. In our case, literally as we were walking up to the building haha. While it was disheartening to say the least, we do recognize that everything is flipped on its head with coronavirus, and that it was just all bad luck. All we could do was shrug. We received an RFE for proof of bona fide marriage in early April and submitted everything that we would have brought to the interview later that month.

I did want to share some good news - my wife had her case approved on May 15, 2020 without an interview. We are incredibly fortunate and wish that everyone else waiting soon gets a speedy resolution to their cases!

10/12/2019 - I485/I140/I763 Filed concurrently.
11/08/2019 - Received ASC appt letter - scheduled for 11/25
11/25/2019 - FingerPrints taken
12/06/2019 - EAD + advanced parole card received
01/02/2020 - I140 approved
01/30/2020 - Case Updated to show fingerprints were taken.
02/11/2020 - transfer of service center to Lee's summit Misouri
02/15/2020 - status changed to ready to schedule interview
02/18/2020 - Request for RFE to bring at interview (did not list what document)
04/27/2020 - Interview canceled due covid-19

USCIS will be reopening in June with necessary precautions you guys. Go to the website & read the full disclosure on how they plan on proceeding with Biometrics, Interviews, etc. Good luck to everyone & hope you all are healthy

We did my husband's medical this week so we are good to go whenever the notice comes. I also read some September filers are getting their I-130s approved.

Forgot to add that we never received the courtesy letter for the medical. Not sure if that means anything? Stay well everyone!

Yeah, you are right. Some of them have even gotten approved I-485 applications on the first day of the reopening. Other things to keep in mind is that not all the Field Offices are opening today. Here is the list of the offices still closed: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/uscis-office-closings

Hey sohi429! Thanks for the list of office closures. Looks like St. Louis is up and running so fingers crossed we'll hear something soon. Hopefully Detroit will re-open asap...or maybe the closure will be a good thing and you will get approved without an interview like some of the others! Keep us posted!

I have same issue.My PD oct 1st. and field office was newark nj and case ready to schedule for an interview was on dec.5th2019.

few weeks back i moved to other state and changed my address and have another case ready to schedule for an interview update on may29th.

Some hopeful news: USCIS is pushing back potential employee furlough date from July to August. Hopefully many of our October cases get resolved this summer!
