Am I worried too much?

I need your opinion because I have been worried and I know some of you may laugh at me. I submitted the renewal for my EAD in May just in case I don't get my green card before it expires in Nov. I got my green card in September and in early October I got a letter for biometrics and I went for it. When I got to the ASC center, they told me that I don't need it since I got my green card but they went ahead and captured my fingerprints. Now, I am worried that if I have done something that I am not supposed to do? Will it do any negative affect on my green card? I really hope to hear your thoughts.

I don't see why you could get in trouble, you are just following their instructions.

I didn't know they ask for new biometrics for EAD renewals. Soon I will need to send our renewal.
