  • Interview Experience - Sacramento office

First of all, this forum has been a great source of information and I owe writing this post to thank everyone here and hopefully someone can use this information.

We had our interview on Oct 21 in Sacramento. We were very nervous as we could not find a baby sitter and had take our months old daughter. This is the sequence of events as it happened.
    • We checked in 1/2 hour before our appointment time
    • After checking in we went to sit in the general waiting room
    • The wait was really long, we did chit-chat with others in the room, you know everyone there is nervous and it helps with talking to others.
    • We were the only people left in the room, as everyone got called except us.
    • Finally a very sweet lady came by looking for us and took us in to her office.
    • She was very polite and friendly and smiles all around, she and my wife talked about kids and parenting etc.
    • She asked me about my previous immigration with h1b and I showed her my latest h1b approval.
    • She had only one question to my wife on how we met and my wife told her our story.
    • She then ran me through the 485 yes/no questions.
    • Asked if we had any new evidence to submit, and I handed her an entire folder which had our daughters birth cert and our house deed and more tax/bank statements.
    • She then said we should hear soon and things look good.

Yesterday the status updated to "New card being produced" on 485 and "Case has been approved" on the 130

A big shoutout to the post about I-693 being 60 days or less from the time you hand it to USCIS, I had not paid attention(and my lawyer failed to catch this), but I had done the exam in April and only cause I came across that post in the forum, I ended up calling the doctor's office and they said they can just re-certify it with current date for 20 dollars.

Thanks again everyone and best of luck to all.

        Affidavit of support

        11-14-2019, 03:28 AM
Hi, I am in the process of my application for adjustment of status but for some reason I am confused with the forms and requirements for I-864 affidavit of support.
my wife did not qualify as a sponsor now since her mom is doing it for me as the beneficiary, what kind of forms do both of us need to fill, after getting her recent 3 years tax return, 6 months paystubs, what else do I need and can someone please help what’s W2s and how do I get it.
