  • Letter of Employment - to bring during interview

Hi! I am scheduled for an interview soon. In the interview notification letter, it is mentioned that EACH should bring a letter of employment.

Our lawyer has mentioned that my spouse who is the petitioner is the only one who needs to bring the letter and I don’t have to. My spouse and I are both employed FYI.

So yeah - I am confused. I’d like to know what you guys did - did you and your spouse both bring letter of employment? Or just the spouse who is petitioning?

Well there isnt any problem bringing both right? Might as well be overprepared than being unprepared. Just my opinion.

Most people bring extra documents and only give them to the officer if asked. What I would do is have both.

The officer may ask if you are employed and may or may not ask for proof.

Our case is EB, my daughter had a summer job, when they set the interview date we will bring her paystubs too. She was able to work thanks to the EAD. I don't think the officer will ask for it, but it doesn't hurt to have the documents with us.
