  • Joint Sponsor for no Income Student

Hi Friends.....need some help here....I am a USC and filing concurrent I485 & petition I-130 for my father's green card. However I am unable to meet the minimum income requirement as I am a student. My father has placed 5x cash into my USA bank account which my attorney still sees it will not fly as there needs to be a joint sponsor with some income. Anyone can suggest where to find a joint sponsor as I have no relatives or friends in USA ? I am ready to pay any fees for the joint sponsor if required....please help

To be very honest, USCIS will not take into account how much you have in the bank rather what you are making regularly. they need the proof of income and last 3 years tax statement to verify you have enough income to support family member. so you can try to file with say 100k in bank but most likely its gonna be waste of time and money.

Signing the I864A means being financially responsible for the immigrant with everything (including unforseen medical cost if any).this is a binding contract a person signs with the Federal Government. i highly doubt anyone who is not closely related to you will be willing to help you out. Not trying to be rude, but once you finish study and start a job then it will be much easier to do the entire process than doing it now. Best of luck

Thank you Stormlead86 for your inputs. Yes income does matter and I have luckly found one close cousin who can co-sponsor me. It was just the extra efforts I took, just as you advised, to keep asking for help and it just came across. I hope to now avoid any RFE for this income proof. Many thanks for your advise though...Cheers
